UTaNRMP FETED BY THE COUNCIL OF GOVERNORS FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE DELIVERY!! [2]

The Upper Tana Natural resources Management Project has been selected as among the top three in the Service Delivery award category in the first ever Devolution Warrior Awards organized by the council of governors.

UTaNRMP’s project coordinator Ms Faith M. Livingstone represented the project during the award ceremony held on 7th March 2017 at the Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute, Nakuru county. The goal of the awards was to recognize the work of institutions who have played a crucial role in ensuring that devolution remained on course in the period leading to 2017.

This was the first ever Devolution Warrior Awards created by the Council of Governors as a prize for those who have promoted, protected and entrenched devolution in the last four years since the March 4th 2013 when the devolved system of government became operational.

The project coordinator dedicated the award to all project implementing officers and UTaNRMP stakeholders for their devotion in ensuring that the project was oncourse towards achieving its goal of contributing to reduction of rural poverty in the upper Tana river catchment. It was as a result of their individual and collective contributions that the project was making an impact in the upper Tana catchment.
