UTaNRMP AWARDED IFAD GENDER AWARD (2021) FOR EAST AND SOUTHERN AFRICA REGION
Today marked a great day for UTaNRMP. The project was celebrated as a change maker and awarded for its achievements in promoting gender equality and empowering rural women.
The global award by IFAD recognizes projects per region, which have implemented innovative approaches to address gender inequalities and empower women. During this year’s event, which was held virtually on 15th October 2021, UTaNRMP was recognized as the best project in East and Southern Africa region for promoting gender equality and women empowerment. The award was presented to the UTaNRMP's Project coordinator who was in the company of UTaNRMP's gender focal person.
